According to some recent Barside Buzz, young star Jenny Ortega is under consideration for a role in the MCU. Now no character is mentioned in this rumor from Daniel RPK on Patreon. Therefore, this could be quite open ended.
We know Marvel has met with popular actors before about exploring their willingness to join the MCU. Yet, we also know that not all of those who meet with Marvel end up with parts. There are currently no obvious larger roles I can see Ortega slipping into outside of the upcoming X-Men Reboot. Though without knowing the roster I wouldn’t like to shoehorn Ortega into one of those roles.
Equally, if Marvel does have a role in mind, which is a big if, then it could be for any project currently in development.

It would be fair to say Ortega is a growing star and already leads hit streaming show, Wednesday. Ortega has also made numerous movies and TV series a child actor. Now though Ortega stars in the Scream franchise and recently appeared in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in the biggest role outside of the returning original cast. In other words, she’s hot as far as Hollywood is concerned. Likely big enough right now in fact to pick and choose her roles. That tells me if Marvel are interested it won’t be for a one and done. Then again, let’s just wait and see. Maybe nothing comes of this at all?
