Check this out as Joe Russo responds to Secret Wars question at the No Way Home premiere. Of course Joe Russo is one half of the directing partnership the Russos. The Russos last Marvel movie was a small one called Avengers: Endgame, you might have heard of it, it has a bit of a cult following. Well the Russos have before commented on the fact they’d be interested in coming back t0 Marvel Studios one day to direct Secret Wars. Rumors on the Barside Buzz are that Secret Wars is being develop0ed. So what did Joe have to say when asked whether he and his brother were coming back to direct Secret Wars?
“One of these days. We’ll have to see how all this shakes out. I don’t know what they’re going to do with all these characters,” Russo told ComicBook.com‘s Brandon Davis.
Russo was then asked if he and his brother Anthony were in active talks with Marvel Studios. The filmmaker hesitated a bit before responding, “What can I say? Look, we love those guys. You know I can’t say one way or the other, but I’d work with them in a heartbeat. It’s the best working experience of our careers. They’re like family to us and we love them, the material, and the fans.”

It would be crazy for Disney not to want a Secret Wars event one day, and it would be even more crazy not to ask back the Russos and their writing partners Markus and McFeeley. As you will see in the related link above, there are already rumors the project is in development. I guess it could be quite a while before we get anything official on that though. After all, there seems like a lot of Marvel real estate to get through before we get to another Infinity War/ Endgame style climax.
