John Krasinski has come a long way since he starred in The Office. He’s taken on a lot more indie roles, is taking on a big TV role with Jack Ryan, and even threw his hat in the directorial ring in 2016’s The Hollars. He has a new film coming up, A Quiet Place, which he’s starring in and directing, so it’s fair to say that the dude’s been pretty busy.

But is he so busy that him joining up The Office revival is out of the question? After all, he was one of the leading roles in the series from beginning to end. Is he one of the few returning faces to expect, or has gotten too big for the show, like Steve Carell?

Speaking on The Ellen Show, Krasinski revealed that he hasn’t even received a call for the show.

“I did hear [about The Office revival]…on the Internet. Guess who didn’t get a call? Me! What does that say? NBC’s like, ‘You know who we didn’t like? Jim.'”

All joking aside, he was then asked that, if the studio did call, if he would be up for joining the show. He answered pretty directly.

“Oh my God, are you kidding? I’d love to get that gang back together.”

Not a bad potential confirmation there. While many would argue that there is no Office without Michael Scott, the series did go on a few more seasons without him, with Jim, Pam, and Dwight taking a lot of screen time to make up for it. Now that I know he’s basically said yes, I’d be disappointed if he DIDN’T join. Get on it, NBC!

Why would he even want a call?? An Office revival sounds terrible

Hell yeah! The Office was awesome and I miss it a ton!

He didn’t get a call because he sucks.

I’d rather they start over with a new company and new people. But I wouldn’t mind a cameo here and there from the original cast.

The only familiar face I’d like to see is … Ron Swanson. I know, different show, but I’ve been binging Parks and Rec lately.

A one off movie length special could be great, the Ricky Gervais movie ‘Life on the road’ is a great example of how, With good writing of course, characters can be revisited without losing the magic of what we over about them in the first place.
