Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame was the end for some of our favorite MCU characters like Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. and Captain America, played by Chris Evans. Going forward we know that not everyone can get their own feature film, which is where Disney+ comes in. Characters like Loki, Scarett Witch, Vision, Falcon and Winter Solider will all feature on the upcoming brand new streaming service.
One of those limited series starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes titled Falcon and Winter Soldier has just enlisted the services of John Wick‘s creator Derek Kolstad, according to TheWrap, to join the writing team. Some of his writing credentials include the already mentioned John Wick film and an upcoming spin-off television series titled The Continental.
The plot details are currently under wraps, but we do know that actors Daniel Bruhl and Emily Van Camp are in negotiations to reprise their roles as Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter. The six part mini-series is said to be directed by Kari Skogland and is said to start filming later this year in Atlanta, Georgia and is looking for an August 2020 debut.
With how successful the John Wick franchise is, it would will be interesting to see what kind of contributions the Kolstad will make with the gun friendly superheroes. Along with this series, we can also expect WandaVision, Loki, What If? and a Hawkeye series from Marvel Studios for the streaming service. Which one of these series are you most excited for?
