John Wick Director To Adapt Comic Kill Or Be Killed

Looks like Chad Stahelski is heading over to his next big action property. The John Wick helmer is re-teaming with his producer Basil Iwanyk to adapt the comic Kill or Be Killed, from creator Ed Brubaker.

The story is a fittingly dark one. According to the outlet, it follows a depressed college student who, after attempting suicide, is visited by a demon. He’s allowed to live, but will be allowed to continue doing so for one month for every person he kills.

Check out the official synopsis of the Kill or Be Killed comic is below:

“The darkly twisted story of a young man forced to kill bad people, and how he struggles to keep his secret as it slowly begins to ruin his life and the lives of his friends and loved ones. Both a thriller and a deconstruction of vigilantism, KILL OR BE KILLED is unlike anything this award-winning team has done before.”

Again, Stahelski is best known for his John Wick movies as director, but he’s also made his mark on the industry with his stunt work. As such, any property that seems poised to use a solid amount of action is likely to be a solid fit.

Stahelski has also been attached to John Wick: Chapter 3 and the Highlander reboot. It’s unclear where this comic adaptation will fall.
