Joker Final Trailer: Arthur Fleck Is Pushed To The Edge

Just when you think Todd Phillips’ Joker film can’t look any more beautiful, we get another gorgeous trailer. If the other one was more of a stylized music video, this one can be considered more of a story trailer, which actually shows Arthur Fleck’s slow descent into madness. I loved that one trailer quite a bit, and I may love this one a bit more.

This morning, Warner Bros. released it in all of its glory, and it’s ready for your viewing pleasure right now!

While it was already easy to see the Martin Scorsese influence from that first trailer, I think it’s all the more evident here, with its grimy vision of Gotham and Joker’s Travis Bickle-like perspective on the world. In a way, I can almost see this as a spiritual successor to Taxi Driver, even while one film deals with crime and the other one deals more with comedy. And, of course, we have the King of Comedy comparisons to make.

All in all, I’ll be surprised if this one ends up as a dud…but I also thought the same thing of Suicide Squad, so we’ll see. What did you think of the new trailer? Let us know down below! Also, be sure to talk about Joker painting his tongue, because that’s just weird.
