On January 27, 1994 Louisville, Kentucky made news for the story that united the city. Today the story is brought to the big screen in Ordinary Angels. We get to see the value of persistence and never taking no for an answer.
The Synopsis
Based on a remarkable true story, ORDINARY ANGELS centers on Sharon (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.

One key person to get Ordinary Angels rolling was producer Jon Berg. A filmmaker that has been in the industry since the mid 90s and has been head of major studios like Warner Bros. Studios. I had the opportunity to speak with Berg and he shared how he first heard of the script of Ordinary Angeles and why he found Alan Ritchson perfect to play the mad with little words, the father of the “Snow Baby” and much more!
