Jordan Bolger In Talks For Boba Fett Prequel Series | Barside Buzz

Sam Hargrave directed The Book of Boba Fett

LRM first revealed there was a Boba Fett show coming to Disney+. A Boba Fett prequel series is now rumored, though that was not information our own source shared at the time. Kyle Malone and myself (The Cantina Podcast) theorized the Boba Fett should would be a prequel. However,  that was just a theory on our end. All LRM were told was that a Boba Fett show was one of several spin-offs from The Mandalorian.

According to The Direct, it’s as we guessed. The Boba Fett show will deal with Fett’s time leading up to the events of The Mandalorian. We also have a casting rumor for the show. The outlet also says that Jordan Bolger in in talks to appear in the Boba Fett prequel series. Bolger is currently probably most well known for his performances in Peaky Blinders (see image below) as well as The 100. Bolger is the second casting rumor for Fett, with Sophie Thatcher already rumored for a role.

It seems obvious to have the Fett show be a prequel, especially after seeing Fett appear in Chapter 9 of The Mandalorian. However when we first broke the news, no one even believed that Fett would even be in The Mandalorian, so it was harder to gauge the setting for the show. In reality though, Fett was more of a tease for the future than a player in The Mandalorian. We know that Fett’s armor is with Dinn Djarin, we do not know why it was with the Jawa’s or why Fett hadn’t retrieved it. Both Kyle and I think Fett could be a bigger player in Season 3 of The Mandalorian and that the Fett mini-series will show before Season 3.

I guess we could be seeing both Bolger and Thatcher showing up in the Fett show if talks go well? Who they could be playing, what other characters might appear is anyone’s guess for now.
