Star Wars: Obi-Wan Casting Details Rumors Emerge

Obi-Wan Kenobi To Premiere In May Rumor | Barside Buzz

Today we share some Obi-Wan casting details rumors. The (untitled) Obi-Wan Kenobi show is gearing up to begin production, so casting details would be expected around thus point. That is, unless the entire show was just Obi-Wan sitting in his hut doing a monologue. Sadly, that’s what some fans expect to see from this show and I think they’ll be disappointed.

The casting details come from the folks over at The Illuminerdi, and appear to show some interesting details. Not the character names of course, because there is no way those are even close to being real. However, what they do show is that one of the casting calls is for a co-lead female character.

Check it out.

Riley (aka Eve) Female (20-25) CO-LEAD – A female BIPOC whose character details are being kept under wraps

Tia Female (30s) SUPPORTING – BIPOC

Harold Male (Late 20s-30s) SUPPORTING – A quirky, comedic male

Bella Female (40s) SUPPORTING – Latinx

Obi-Wan Casting Details Rumors

The outlet goes on to say that they’ve discovered three actors have received callbacks for that Riley role. Those three are Thuso Mbedu, Anula Navlekar, and Naomi Scott. As for who Riley may really be, and whether it is a known character, who can say? At this point we really have almost no idea what the plot of the Obi-Wan Kenobi show will entail. The only details we have had so far were from our own Lucasfilm source here at LRM.

LRM were first to reveal that Hayden Christensen was in talks, then that he had signed to appear in the Kenobi show. We have been told Christensen’s is significant role and that the Obi-Wan show will feature some flashbacks to The Clone Wars period. How this in any way relates to these casting calls is unknown. However, this is everything we know for now, we are expecting to get some more information as production begins.
