Variety is reporting that Jordan Peele’s next film, Us, has begun production. The news comes with the latest announcements of actors joining on to fill in the rest of the cast of characters. Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry and Noelle Sheldon have rounded out the supporting cast in the upcoming project from the Oscar-winning writer/director. This cast will be joining Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, Winston Duke, Tim Heidecker, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Anna Diop.
Us marks the first film under Peele’s first-look deal between his Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures. Peele’s Get Out, which earned a Best Picture nomination and scored Peele his Best Original Screenplay Oscar, helped seal the deal for this collaboration. Raking in over $255 million worldwide for a small budget horror film doesn’t hurt either. Peele will be writing and directing Us, as well as producing alongside partner Ian Cooper for Monkeypaw, Sean McKittrick of QC Entertainment and Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions.

Daniel Lupi will executive produce the pic.
The film has been slated for release on March 15th, 2019.
