Fans are set to return to the world of Jurassic Park, at least one more time. While this is supposed to be the closing chapter of the franchise, we’ve heard that before, with many beloved properties. Chris Pratt, who has starred in the most recent trilogy, says it won’t be long before filming on Jurassic World 3 begins
Pratt recently spoke with Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show while promoting his upcoming film, Pixar’s Onward. Pratt said it’s just about time to get into filming mode, you can check out what he had to say below.
“Very soon. I’m in it! Yeah, we’re gearing up. We’re getting ready to go here very quickly.”
Pratt also mentioned that to stay in Owen Grady shape, he’s barely getting enough to eat.
“You starve. I have to starve… I have to put myself on a really strict code because I’m 40 now. If I eat, I don’t know, a Starburst, I gain 15 pounds.”
The first film in the franchise is an all-time classic, and will always be remembered as having what is perhaps the best CGI for any film for its time. Spielberg also gave a lesson in terror and did it with a PG-13 rating. What I’m saying is to me, the Jurassic franchise is one of those classic series such as Star Wars. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean and so on and so forth.
If this upcoming film really is the final chapter it will, of course, be bittersweet, but remember, the dinosaurs are out and about in the civilized world this time, but director Colin Trevorrow has clarified that human encounters with the animals will be possible, but will be rare. Which sounds to me like we may be in for some classic suspense and terror.
