According to stunt performer Erol Ismail ( via the Twitter account ZackSnyderBible) a scene from Justice League was removed by the studio removed due to its level of violence. Because of contractual obligations Ismail isn’t able to detail exactly wha happened. However, it appears that the scene was a battle between the Atlanteans and the Parademons. It must have been pretty intense scene for Warner Bros to cut it, as DC seems to be more willing to produce less family-oriented content as opposed to Marvel. I would assume that the decision stemed from the desire to keep a PG-13 rating as opposed to the morality of the scene. That is pure speculation on my part. As we know DC isn’t afraid to go with an R rating if it feels right for the film. The thing is this limits the audience that can buy a ticket at the theater.
The highly-anticpated Snyder Cut of Justice League will debut on HBO Max next year. This version of the film will be Zack Snyder’s original vision for the film. As most of you know Snyder had to leave the original project and the theaterical version we received was not what he had intended. As many of you are well aware of, we can thank, at least in part, the fans, who were relentless with their #releasethesnyder cut campaign.
