Things seemed to reach a fever pitch this past weekend when it comes to the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Fans have been pushing to see this thing released for a couple of years now, and with the anniversary of the release of the actual movie, enthusiasm apparently reached an all-time high, with stars of the movie showing their support. 

Seemingly out of the blue, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot posted her support via the following tweet.

From there, the snowball effect seemed to take…effect, with costars Ray Fisher and Ben Affleck joining the chorus with tweets of their own.

You even got Zack Snyder retweeting these tweets, expressing further support for seeing his original vision realized on the big screen. So, is this actually a possibility? YouTuber Grace Randolph seems to think so, as she tweeted out the following this past Sunday:

IMPORTANT – nothing will be announced today.
There are…discussions already happening.
You are not only making it clear there’s a large audience for this, but u are giving Zack negotiating power to get everything he wants.😉
THAT is what today is about.”

While Randolph has been right in the past, the bigger trade THR has reported that, according to their insiders, no announcement of a Snyder Cut “is imminent.”

Of course, you never know in Hollywood, as we sometimes don’t know things are going to be announced until they’re actually announced. So this may be just one big perpetual case of “let’s wait and see.”

What is surprising to me, however, is how much momentum this movement seems to constantly be making. While it would be quite a feat to get this cut to happen, as it would likely require reshoots and CG finishes, this groundswell does seem to at least be proof that there is interest…but it’s hard to tell just how much interest is genuine as opposed to standard curiosity.
