Justice Smith And Daniella Pineda Will Return For Jurassic World 3

The director of Jurassic World and the original paleontologist/paleobotanist/chaotician trio from Jurassic Park won’t be the only ones making their return to the prehistoric franchise. The third installment will also feature the latest duo to jump on the genetically engineered dinosaur adventure train.

Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda—who played Franklin Webb and Zia Rodriguez in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, respectively—will be reprising their roles in the upcoming third installment (or sixth if you include the previous Jurassic Park trilogy). Smith and Pineda will reunite with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as their characters attempt to survive in a world where the genetically engineered animals of Isla Nublar are now roaming free throughout the world. Those four will have a spot of company in their adventure as the stars of the original Jurassic Park—Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum—will reprise their roles as Dr. Grant, Dr. Satler, and Dr. Malcolm, respectively.

Director Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World and co-wrote Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom, returns to the director’s chair for this installment. The story will be based on a screenplay written by Trevorrow, Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim, Uprising), and Derek Connolly, who wrote the previous two story arcs with Trevorrow. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Pat Crowley will serve as producers for the Universal Pictures film.

The third Jurassic Word film is slated to be released June 11, 2021—exactly 28 years after Jurassic Park hit theaters.
