Kate Moran Talks About The Beauty Of Savage State [Exclusive Interview]

Savage State

Kate Moran Interview for Savage State.

When talking about the American Civil War it’s easy to just think of it as the North versus the South. But along with the thousands of soldiers fighting one another were immigrants from other countries. These people had also settled down in the States but quickly found themselves in the middle of a war that they had no stakes in. So during this time, some decided that the American dream was over and it was time to head home.

This is the situation that a family of French colonists finds themselves in the film Savage State. When the American War breaks out, Edmond, Madeleine, and their three daughters decide to leave their home in Missouri and head back to France. But in order to get there, they must first travel across the dangerous country to New York. In order to try and make it safe, they hire a mysterious dangerous mercenary. One that has a past that seems to be chasing him through the wilderness and could put everyone in danger.

Savage State is written and directed by David Perrault. It stars Alice Isaaz, Kevin Janssens, Deborah François, Bruno Todeschini, and Kate Moran.

With its release last Friday, LRM Online had the opportunity to talk with one of the stars of Savage State, Kate Moran. She plays the role of Bettie, a very unique character that in my opinion deserved more screen time. During our interview, we talk about the wild nature of her character. We also talk about the beauty of the film that despite being on a limited budget, still seemed to deliver a complete film. You can check it out below!

Samuel Goldwyn Films’ Savage State is now available on Digital and On-Demand.
