Katee Sackhoff has finally been able to comment on playing Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian. Up until Friday’s Chapter 11, Sackhoff had to stay quiet on her live-action portrayal of the character she voiced in Rebels. Its debatable how well Sackhoff managed to keep quiet, but now the cat is out the bag as it were she posted an update on Twitter. Check it out.

Far as I can tell, the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive. There is always that worry about whether an animated character will successfully make the jump to live-action. In this case I think we can say Sackhoff and Bo-Katan has been a success. I’ve always liked Sackhoff since she starred in Battlestar Galactica. As Kyle and I said on this weeks The Cantina podcast, really Sachkoff has been underused since BSG. You can catch the chat between Kyle and I in the related section below. I guess it does help that Bo-Katan was somewhat based around the look of Sackhoff who was already hired for the voice.

Will Ahsoka Tano be as well received by the Star Wars fans? Who knows, but it looks like we will meet Rosario Dawson’s version of Ahsoka sometime in Chapter 13, i.e. in two weeks time. I would hazard a guess that we will see more of Sackhoff as Bo-Katan before the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, but who can say for sure? We had heard that Gina Carano and Sackhoff could be getting a spin-off series from our source. I think there are a lot of fans who are expecting some scenes between Cara Dune and Bo-Katan as a result of this. That remains to be seen for now.
