Katheryn Newton and Kyle Allen share great chemistry in The Map of Tiny Perfect Things. A story with a time loop based on The Magicians Trilogy written by Lev Grossman.
The Synopsis
The film tells the story of quick-witted teen Mark (Kyle Allen, “West Side Story“), contently living the same day in an endless loop whose world is turned upside-down when he meets mysterious Margaret (Kathryn Newton, “Big Little Lies“) also stuck in the time loop. Mark and Margaret form a magnetic partnership, setting out to find all the tiny things that make that one day perfect. What follows is a love story with a fantastical twist, as the two struggle to figure out how – and whether – to escape their never-ending day.
Katheryn Newton’s career started at the age of four in the television sitcom All My Children. Her big break that granted her awards was in CBS Gary Unmarried. She has been in other successful television series like BBC/PBS miniseries Little Women, Supernatural and currently in HBO’s Emmy Award-winning Big Little Lies. Last year she was seen in Freaky with Vince Vaughn. Soon she will be seen playing Cassie/Ant-Girl in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Kyle Allen’s short screen career has been very successful thanks to his acting and dancing talent. He will be seen in Steven Spielberg’s anticipated adaptation of West Side Story in December. Last year he was seen in the film All My Life. Allen has also appeared on television series like The Path and American Horror Story. Soon he will start production for The In Between alongside Joey King.
I connected with the protagonist of The Map of Tiny Perfect Things via Zoom.Katheryn Newton and Kyle discussed the extended sequence they both had in the film. In addition, Allen commented doing a few of the stunts thanks to his dancing, acrobatic and martial arts experience.
