Keanu Reeves Says Bill and Ted Face the Music Keeps The Spirit Of The Previous Films

It won’t be long now and the dim-witted, but lovable duo known as Bill and Ted will face the music. The long, long-awaited third installment into the franchise, after a long road to the screen, Bill and Ted Face the Music will finally see its day in the sun.

One half of the time-traveling team, Keanu Reeves, or as some call him, ‘The Internet’s Boyfriend’, recently spoke with TotalFilm. Reeves reassured fans of the series that the upcoming film will have the same most triumphant spirit as the two that came before it. You can check out what he had to say below.

“We’re still a pretty scrappy independent movie. It’s part of the charm! This movie is very much in the spirit of the other two films across the board. So there are Easter egg cameos, and there are other important musical figures that are prominent. I don’t want to give too much of it away but the spirit of it, all the way down to the soundtrack… it’s a Bill & Ted movie, straight up.”

This film was one of those that even though you heard bits and pieces about it being made, those bits and pieces never seemed to go anywhere. I honestly thought it wouldn’t ever make it to the screen, at least not with Alex Winter, Keanu Reeves, and the writers of the first two installments, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.

However, it seems as if the arduous journey undertaken by the film was all necessary for it to be made. The right time, place, and story all met when were destined to.
