With production to start soon on DC Universe’s live action series Swamp Thing we have been getting lots of news about different characters being cast. Today’s Swamp Thing casting news is not a for sure thing yet but That Hashtag Show is reporting that yet another character may be close to being cast.
Actor Kevin Durand is in talks to play a recurring role as the villain Jason Woodrue aka The Floronic Man in the Swamp Thing series. His character is described as “A smart, slick and cunning scientist, Woodrue was an inter-dimensional being in the comics has long tormented the Swamp Thing in his search to control The Green and take over the world.”. He first appeared in comic books in DC Comics’ The Atom #1 in July of 1962 and was created by Gil Kane and Gardner Fox.
Kevin Durand’s previous work includes, Lost, Dark Angel, Legion and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He would be joining Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane, Maria Sten as Liz, Henderson Wade as Matt Cable, Jeryl Prescott as Madame Xanadu, Virginia Madsen as Maria Sunderland, Will Patton as Avery Sunderland, Jennifer Beals as an original character created for the series, Andy Bean as Alec Holland, and Derek Mears as the titular creature.
