Kevin Feige Confirms Deadpool 3 Will Be R-Rated And Part Of The MCU

Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds has asked outlets to stop sharing spoiler images online for the movie.

Kevin Feige recently confirmed what many fans had been wondering ever since Disney acquired Fox a while back. Would the next Deadpool film be rated R, seeing ho it’s now under the banner of the House of Mouse? Well, folks, the answer is yes. Feige says the script is currently being written with Ryan Reynolds. You can check out what Feige had to say while speaking with Collider below.

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

In case it slipped passed you while reading the above quote, Deadpool 3 will be part of the MCU

Even though Deadpool became a Disney character, I never really thought they would go PG-13 with Deadpool’s next film. Disney can see what was working with the character, and for the most part, Disney knows not to fix things that aren’t broken (unless it’s Star Wars). We all were pretty sure Deadpool would eventually become part of the MCU, but it sure is nice to finally receive confirmation.

While Deadpool can be crude and really earn his R-rating, he also has childlike qualities. I can easily see him walking around Disneyland interacting with parkgoers.
