Captain Marvel will finally join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019. After that, she will join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers 4.

Speaking with BBC Arabic’s Husam Asi, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that after Captain Marvel is established, it might be time to include her most recent counterpart from the comics:

“We’re doing Captain Marvel right now. Captain Marvel‘s shooting right now with Brie Larson. Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort-of in the works. We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.”

Ms. Marvel would be just as huge a leap forward as Black Panther or Captain Marvel for superhero films. Ms. Marvel is currently Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American. Khan appeared on the scene in 2014 when the Inhumans’ Terrigen Mists released, awakening Khan’s shapeshifting powers. She can basically stretch like Mr. Fantastic and also change the size of her body including enlarging her fists for a bigger punch.  Khan is obviously a huge fan of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, as she took on Danver’s old superhero name after Danvers became Captain Marvel.

Is Ms. Marvel one of the characters you were hoping to see in the next “book” of the MCU? Let us know in the comment section below!
