There is no doubt how much of a box office juggernaut that Avengers: Infinity War is. Ten years of planning and producing films all leading to this epic chapter have paid off beautifully for Marvel and Disney. With producers and creative storytellers like Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Jon Favreau, Victoria Alonso, James Gunn, Anthony & Joe Russo, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, along with talented casts and dedicated production crews, Marvel Studios succeeded in presenting a product that won over the audience and took them on a thrill ride. That hard work led to the biggest weekend box office opening for a film ever, knocking out Star Wars: The Force Awakens from the top spot.

As a thank you to the fans, Feige posted a thank you letter on his Twitter account:

“To the greatest fans, the past ten years have been an unforgettable ride and we couldn’t have done it without the entire team at Marvel Studios, our incredible talent in front of and behind the camera, the visionary comic book creators, but most importantly you.

Thank you for embracing these characters and stories since we kicked off the MCU ten years ago. This past weekend was a result beyond our wildest dreams.

On behalf of everyone here at Marvel Studios, we thank you for being the best fans in the universe and making Avengers: Infinity War the biggest opening weekend of all time.”

With Avengers: Infinity War approaching $1 billion worldwide in its first week of release, fans are left not only coming to terms with the film’s unforgettable final scenes but also where this story will take them when next May’s yet untitled Avengers 4 is released. With this creative and dedicated team’s focus on the audience, one can guarantee we have much more complex, comic adventure on the way.
