Kevin Hart Defends Tiffany Haddish And Responds To Hate From Katt Williams While On The Breakfast Club

Comedians Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish appeared on Power 105‘s The Breakfast Club in New York City to promote the upcoming film Night School, which Hart co-wrote and stars in with Haddish. While the conversation began with promoting the movie, the topic of Katt Williams and his comments regarding Hart and Haddish came up.

Recently, Williams critiqued Haddish by saying that she hadn’t earned her stripes in the comedy world like other female comedians. Williams said the following:

“She’s been doing comedy since she was 16. You can’t tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet. She ain’t done a special. She has not proven the ability to tell jokes back-to-back for an hour to nobody.”

Haddish responded back to Williams on Twitter:

“It’s official. I made it! @KattPackAllDay talked about me and didn’t have his facts right!… I look forward to seeing you on Monday Katt, when we pick up our Emmys. I just want to shower you with REAL love cause you need it, and I love you.”

Hart, who refers to himself as Haddish’s big brother, decided to respond to Williams’ remarks with a fierce but focused verbal smackdown. Power 105‘s Twitter account shared a one minute portion of Hart’s retort (the clip contains adult language. Discretion advised).

“My frustrations with Katt Williams come from, you keep pointing at Hollywood. Hollywood this. The white man. This, this, and this. When do you take responsibility for your actions?… You had the shot! You were the guy! You were setup to be the star. You didn’t show up to work!”

The entire 41-minute interview was uploaded to YouTube on The Breakfast Club‘s account and can be viewed below (The interview contains adult language. Discretion advised).

Personally, I believe Hart’s statements are valid. He has created his own entertainment empire and Williams comes off as the old-timer who bumbled it all and is now jealous instead of praising an individual who is creating more diversity through his projects. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes from here, but so far, Hart has won on facts alone.
