Kevin Smith Launches Production Diaries For Jay And Silent Bob Reboot

In case you haven’t heard yet, Kevin Smith is hard at work bringing Jay and Silent Bob Reboot to the big screen. That silly little movie from the early-2000s that poked fun at the Hollywood business is back for some extra ribbing at the industry we all love and hate. Smith recently took to social media to show a new picture from Day 1 of the set, and today, he shares with us a start to a brand-new series of production diaries for the film.

This first video starts off with the sexiest of topics: tech scouting. They pretty much go to all the locations and plan things out so that when the day comes to shoot that they have a plan to execute and aren’t wasting time figuring it all out on the spot. Makes perfect sense, and while it is a process Smith admitted to hating when he was younger, he confesses to having an increased interest as he’s grown as a filmmaker.

Personally, things brings up all sorts of warm and fuzzy memories for me. I remember way back in the mid-2000s when Smith released a series of videos for Clerks II, and that got me plenty hyped for the movie to come. While times have changed, I’m still eternally interested in the process, and am happy to pick at the more minute details in the videos just for fun.

Even though I’m still lukewarm on the idea of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (and on Smith’s recent movies), he’s still a lot of fun to watch and follow. Will you be watching this production diary series? Let us know down below!
