For quite some time, filmmaker, podcaster, and professional geek Kevin Smith has been talking about Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, the sequel to his early-2000s comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Of course, it faced a delay when he had his heart attack several months back. When we last reported, they were aiming to shoot around now, in the fall time.

Of course, we’re here now, and production has yet to begin. Smith was more than happy to give an update in his Avengers: Endgame trailer reaction on his official YouTube channel. According to Smith, production will go from January through March, and according to The GWW, it looks like they will be heading to New Orleans (though the outlet states production begins February 18. I’ll probably go with the actual director on this one, though).

This film will be our first live-action step into the View Askewniverse since Clerks II well over a decade ago. After that film, he jumped into Zack and Miri Make a Porno before really getting into the podcasting scene. As of late, his films, in my humble opinion, haven’t been too great, but that doesn’t make me any less excited to see what Jay and Silent Bob are up to in their latest adventure.

Are you excited to see this film finally getting underway? Let us know down below!
