Khalil Sullins and Amber Marie Bollinger on Sci-Fi Thriller with Listening [Exclusive Interview]

In Khalili Sullins’ Listening, the sci-fi thriller delves into the idea of mind-reading technology and a government conspiracy that may manipulate the concept of free will.

The film stars Thomas Stroppel (Bucksville), Artie Ahr (Our Most Beautiful Love Stories), Amber Marie Bollinger (Hollywood Is Hard), Christine Haeberman (The Millennium Bug), and Steve Hanks (Jailbait). Khalil Sullins directed and wrote the story.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In this award-winning thriller about science-fiction that is quickly becoming reality, a covert government agency hunts down three grad students after they invent a telepathic neural device that unleashes incredible and dangerous consequences for the future of humanity. In a brave new world where no one can hide their most secret thoughts or desires, the friends turn against each other in a battle over not only the privacy of our minds, but the future of free will itself.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actress Amber Marie Bollinger and director/writer Khalil Sullins on the sci-fi nature of Listening. We talked about how the idea of clairvoyance may come to fruition with today’s technology and the magic behind some of the scenes to make this a sci-fi thriller.

Khalil Sullins makes his directorial debut with Listening. He executive produced a sci-fi time-traveling film called Speed of Life.

In pursuit of acting, Amber Marie Bollinger appeared in numerous national television commercials and short films. She was part of a cult comedy web series Hollywood is Hard, which generated several million views. Some of the films she appeared in include The Death and Return of Superman, Pelt, Drugs & Other Love. Also, she is currently the lead singer for a post-punk face-melting band, Broken Baby.
