Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game Announced At Gamescom

Killer Klown from Outer Space

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a classic sci-fi comedy horror film from the 80s. This film has often been credited for people’s coulrophobia or fear of clowns. Recently it has also been a popular addition to Universal Studios Horror Nights. Now you can bring the clowns back to your homes in the new game announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live.

The game has a very unique title, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. You can check out the official reveal trailer below.

Killer Klown from Outer Space: The Game is a 3v7 asymmetric multiplayer game that will feature a team of humans taking on a team of alien Klowns. Both sides have character classes and publishers say that the randomly generated map will be expansive and ever-changing. It will also have multiple content updates planned for post-lunch.

It was made in collaboration with the film’s original creators the Chiodo Brothers who serve as executive producers. John Massari, the original composer is also returning for the game. This makes me excited that it will look and feel like the film as we have seen in the trailer.

The game looks like it will be a lot of fun. It will be great to be able to venture into the town either as a klown or as a person trying to defeat them. It will be interesting to see how it plays and what kind of weapons are going to be available to players on both sides.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is created by Teravision Games and led by Randy Greenback. He previously worked on another horror video game, Friday the 13th: The Game, as executive producer. It is scheduled to be released for PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in early 2023.
