Knives Out 2 Has An Official Title And Release Date

When Knives Out was released on November 27, 2019, it was one of the biggest surprises with a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Shortly after Netflix announced a deal with writer/director Rian Johnson to turn the crime drama into a trilogy.  Since then Johnson has been hard at work creating a script and bringing Daniel Craig back for the sequel. Earlier today Johnson not only revealed the name of the Knives Out 2 sequel but also when it is set to be released on Netflix. You can check out the name and release date below:

The Initial Synopsis For Glass Onion

In Rian Johnson’s Knives Out follow-up, detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of suspects.

My initial reaction to the name Glass Onion was that it was a reference to The Beatles song but I don’t think it has any relationship now.  The cast of Knives Out 2 is packed with stars like Edward Norton, Jessica Henwick, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, and Madelyn Cline. Also, starring is Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, and Ethan Hawke. So the sequel has a lot of big names as well.

There is no official release date yet for Knives Out 2, I can’t wait to see it. And while I am not the biggest Rian Johnson fan, the first movie kicked ass. Also, Netflix spent a hell of a lot of money for the second and third films ($450 million), but I think it’s money well spent.
