The Barside Buzz today is all about some supposed leaked Doctor Doom artwork for his MCU debut. Being wary, I certainly will not post the image here, however I will link you to a Reddit post Here. As of publishing this image is still up on r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers. However I have also seen it flying about on social media, so chances are you won’t have to look hard to find this one. I marked this as a SPOILER because so far I have not mentioned the movie that this version of Doom is supposed to show up in. There are also some details about his role and how Doom has been in the MCU already for a while without being directly referenced. Doctor Doom Potential MCU Debut SPOILERS Below!
Still with me? Well the claim from those who provided this image to the Reddit mods is that this is pre vis artwork for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The image shows a very comic accurate Doom, sans Cape, which we are assured just isn’t in this drawing. The image shows Doom looking like he is Darth Vader about to Force choke whoever that fool guy is standing in front of him. There is no indication who Doom is facing, nor where the location is?
There was also some context given to the mods on Reddit which reads as follows.
“It’s implied he’s been around for a while. He’s on throne. Cape, the works. Think Burch and Klaue as chess pieces they’ve been behind. I wouldn’t be shocked if no dialogue atm. Closing in on the casting.”

If, and I stress IF this is legit, then it means Marvel is finally bringing in their number one comic villain to the MCU. Doom was always Marvel’s best villain for me in the comics, and I am not alone in that thought. However so far every non-comic adaptation of the good Doctor has been garbage. If there’s one thing the MCU needs to do better than what came before it’s with Doom. Eventually we fans surely want to see an obsessed Doom going up against the Fantastic Four. However I definitely do not want Doom to be the main villain of the Fantastic Four movie. Doom should, like Thanos and Kang be a threat we build to over time.
