Lebron James and the Toon Squad are back for a second trailer ahead of the July release of Space Jam: A New Legacy. This new trailer seems to be focusing a little more on the build-up to the game with the Looney Tunes. You can check it out below!

I have to say that this was a very well done trailer as it focused a lot on the Looney Tune antics of some of our favorite classic characters. For a second there I thought we were really going to get a nod to the original Space Jam film. This being when they were looking for an extra push during half-time. If you know… you know. I will be honest I am very hyped for this, it looks to be very well done. But of course, would we expect less from Malcolm D. Lee, Ryan Coogler, and Maverick Carter?

Welcome to the Jam! Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mash-up of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids.

When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

With James’s early exit from the 2021 NBA playoffs, he can focus on defeating the fictional Goon Squad. Let’s be real, that is going to be the biggest game he will win going forward. Western Conference teams have re-charged and are leaving the Lakers behind. I throw shade as a Bay Area native that is always looking to #BeatLA. Regardless I think James is going to do very well. Dare I say I think he has more on-screen personality than even Michael Jordan.
