After a recent video from Pedro Pascal, Star Wars fans are asking is Mando S3 filming or not? Whilst, this is a tricky one lets discuss the evidence so far. Normally when the star of a show says they have not yet shot Mando S3, then that would be it. However, I don’t think it is in this case. You can find my coverage of the Pascal statement below in the related section. In that I asked the question of whether this was still accurate because it did not match with what I had heard.

However, since that story broke, two other insiders have come forward to say they both believe Mando S3 is currently filming also. Let’ take a look at both before we go any further.

Both Jordan Maison and Corey Van Dyke seems to think Mando S3 is already filming. I have to say, the little things I have heard about The Mandalorian Season 3, which is not much, outside of LRM led me to this conclusion also. In terms of LRM‘s own source within Lucasfilm, I had not checked when I wrote the article yesterday, I have now. As far is they have heard, they have to agree with Corey and Jordan here. So I can only assume, as discussed in the article yesterday that there is one of two situations here. Either that undated video was shot before filming began on Mando S3, which wasn’t long ago. Or, Pascal himself has not yet arrived for any filming. Now considering The Mandalorian Season 1 had six episodes in the can before Pascal was even cast tells a story. The actor does not always have to present on set when he’s in that suit.

I’m not sure what the true situation here is. But on this one we have to agree with Corey and Jordan. As to what Jordan is talking about with some things he’s heard, I have no idea? We will have to wait for him to furnish us with some more information. As said, we are hearing pretty much radio silence from Lucasfilm right now. The Book of Boba Fett shot and wrapped before we heard any kind of solid news. That being that Bossk would appear in the show, linked above. But Lucasfilm are being very secretive is all I can say.

One thing we have heard recently is that there is a sense of urgency at Lucasfilm to get projects off the ground. One wonders is this is so they can have plenty to promote at the next Star Wars Celebration? The event was recently moved up to May 25-29 next year. My guess, is that this radio silence is the deep breath before the Celebration plunge. I would not be surprised to see Ahsoka before camera’s before too long either.
