No doubt Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers are excited with the gargantuan anticipated movie Godzilla vs. Kong.

The publishing division Legendary Comics announced several tie-ins to the cinematic showdown of the two titans on the big screen. The company revealed two new epic prequel graphic novels, an anthology featuring past fan-favorite comic series, two titles for young readers, an official behind-the-scenes art book, and a novelization that takes us deeper into the worlds of Monarch and the Titans.

“As with previous installments in the Monsterverse franchise, Legendary Comics is excited to expand the story universe by paving the way for the cinematic clash with two prequel graphic novels that will tell separate tales of our favorite Titans,” said Robert Napton, senior vice president of Legendary Comics. “We are also expanding our publishing offerings with our first-ever children’s book and board book, and are thrilled to be working again with Insight Editions and Titan Books on an art book and novelization that will offer exclusive content, taking readers deeper into the world of Godzilla and Kong.”

For Godzilla Dominion, it’s a prequel graphic novel written by Greg Keyes (Age of Unreason trilogy, New Jedi Order novel series) with art by Drew Edward Johnson (DC’s Wonder Woman, Legendary Comics’ Godzilla Aftershow). The unique story picks up after the events of the film Godzilla: King of Monsters, where the Titans have risen with the start of Godzilla’s reign. The story is told from Godzilla’s point of view. Not to mention, it provides new insights into Godzilla, his habitats, ancient rivalries, new Titans, and other challenges.

For the other graphic novel Kingdom Kong, it serves as a sequel to the graphic novel Skull Island: Birth of Kong, and a prelude to the film Godzilla vs. Kong. The story follows a group of highly skilled military pilots gather together on Skull Island to see who has the “right stuff” to take on a dangerous mission. One of the pilots, Audrey, is haunted by memories of a monstrous clash with Godzilla’s rivals that left deep scars. When Camazotz, a bat-like Titan, attacks Skull Island, she must come to terms with her inner demons while Kong must battle the incoming threat. This graphic novel is written by Marie Anello (Shout Out) with art by ZID (Legendary Comics’ Skull Island: The Birth of Kong).

Don’t forget to check out the film Godzilla vs. Kong on March 31.
