Legendary Comics and Rocketship announced a partnership to bring the first Gundam graphic novel produced outside of Japan with Gundam Breaker Battlogue: New Build.
It continues on the beloved Gundam Breaker Battlogue anime series with a standalone story. The story is crafted by Nobuo Masudo, a 30-year veteran at Bandai, with artwork from Nelson Daniel, known for his work with Detective Pikachu and Pacific Rim Blackout.
“We are incredibly excited to launch the Kickstarter campaign for the groundbreaking Gundam graphic novel,” stated Robert Napton, senior vice president at Legendary Comics, in a statement. “This project represents a significant milestone as the first-ever Gundam graphic novel produced entirely outside of Japan. With the combined talent of Nobuo Masuda and Nelson Daniel, we are confident that fans of the Gundam franchise will be captivated by this unique storytelling experience.”
Naohiro Ogata of Bandi Namco Filmworks added, “I am happy that our new initiative will be delivered to Gundam fans in the U.S., and I hope they enjoy the Gundam World even more through the new graphic novel.”
