The latest Barside Buzz is that Scarlett Johansson will return to the MCU in Doomsday and Secret Wars, plus Anya Taylor-Joy is in talks for Spider-Man 4. Let’s start with Johansson.  It does seem like maybe Doctor Doom has his own team of Avengers from different Multiverses as we recently heard Chris Evans was back as well. Add to this the rumors that Maestro may be the next version of Hulk we see.

The information comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon. Daniel seems extremely confident Johansson is signed up like we heard from trades regarding Evans recently.

We obviously have no idea on the plot of Doomsday. Therefore, I don’t know for sure that Doom has his own team of Multiversal Avengers. I just think it makes sense with Evans return, Johansson, (who’s character died), and the fact we know RDJ plays Doom. As said above you gotta wonder about those Maestro rumors as well. Guess we shall see if my guess is correct?

Also from RPK is a rumor that Anya Taylor-Joy is in talks for a role in Spider-Man 4. Now, fans are already shouting Black Cat. However, there is no actual claim of that from Daniel.

This rumor ended up being passed back to Sony’s Amy Pascal recently. I’d cover her response, but it was basically, a  non-answer as you’d expect. They look at lots of people basically. I’ve not seen any viable rumors that Black Cat is even in Spider-Man 4. I don’t think anyone knows much about the plot. Other than it features symbiotes, Knull, and probably other Spider-Man variants again.
