Oh, my lucky stars. This is pretty exciting. Like many ‘90s kids, I had dreams. I had dreams of being an astronaut, of being Indiana Jones, and of course, on participating in an episode of Legends of the Hidden Temple and taking a crack at the temple itself, since I knew I’d be able to assemble that godd**n statue myself and get through it with no issues. Sadly, like many warmblooded Americans, those dreams remained unfulfilled.

Of course, it was inevitable that Legends of the Hidden Temple would get a reboot. It’s a tried-and-true gameshow, and with some modifications, it’d be just as exciting to kids today than ever before. But I had to rest with the knowledge that, as I am no longer a kid, that I would never get a chance to raid Olmec’s temple.

Turns out I was wrong. Quibi has announced that they are reviving the beloved gameshow, and even more importantly…it’ll be for us adults! Here’s what the press release says:

“This new, supersized, reimagined version will preserve many of the favorite original elements of the show – the Moat Crossing, Olmec and the Temple Run – but will see them “grown up” for an audience that’s grown up along with them. The entire set will be taken out of the studio, into a jungle and scaled up with tougher challenges and bigger prizes on the line.”

“Bringing back ‘Legends’ for Quibi is a dream come true,” said Scott A. Stone, Executive Producer. “I have been so lucky to be part of this defining millennial show, and now there is a defining millennial platform to go with it. I couldn’t be more excited.”

I think if there ever was a reason for me to actually get my ass in shape, this is it. Legends of the Hidden Temple, here I come.
