Liam Neeson Open To Returning To Star Wars

Even though some fans can’t let Star Wars: The Last Jedi go, most fans have their eyes fixed on the future. With Solo: A Star Wars Story (Dude, where’s my trailer?) just a few months away, and an Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthology film seemingly all but confirmed (Dude, where’s my announcement?), fans are wondering what other beloved characters may be returning to the Star Wars universe.

Famed actor Liam Neeson, who played the centrist Jedi, Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace, recently spoke with Yahoo Movies UK:

“This is the first time I’m hearing of this. No one’s been in touch with me. I know in the Star Wars world anything is possible. In the first one, The Phantom Menace, I died but we know, you know, Jedis come back and stuff but no one’s been in touch. We’ll see.”

Neeson seems open to returning to the galaxy far, far away, and I for one would welcome him reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn. I wouldn’t say we need a Qui-gon solo film, but having him cameo in perhaps one of the anthology films could work. By discovering Anakin and bringing him to the Jedi Council, Jinn started in motion the events of the Star Wars saga, his importance to the story, cannot be overstated.

Liam Neeson latest film The Commuter is now in theaters.
