Liam Neeson Set To Star In Thriller Charlie Johnson In The Flames

Liam Neesons!

Liam Neesons, but no Bruce Willy, though.

Silly Liam Neesons, thinking he would retire from action films! (I know he took that back already, or if it was a rumor he busted it, but still…)

Deadline reports that Liam Neeson will star in Charlie Johnson in the Flames. Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident, Westworld Episode #2.6) will direct this adaptation of Michael Ignatieff’s thriller novel. Justin Haythe (The Lone Ranger, A Cure For Wellness, Red Sparrow) is writing the film.

Though it may be a “thriller” not a full-on, high octane action movie, it does sound like Liam Neeson’s type of thriller/action he does so well.

Neeson plays Charlie Johnson, a peerless BBC war correspondent covering civil unrest in the Congo. A death of an innocent woman shakes him to his core, causing him to risk everyting to expose the truth. Of course, this embroils him in a network of murder, corruption, and violence that causes him to question his humanity.

See? Classic Liam Neeson film!

You don’t f–k with the Liam Neesons! But how does he not have an award, though?

Does Charlie Johnson in the Flames sound like your kind of movie? I’ll be seeing Liam Neeson, as I always do.  In fact, no one loves Liam Neeson films quite like my mother, so we always go together. Will you take your mom? Let us know in the comment section below!
