Lightyear | New Trailer Shows Our Time Traveling Hero Working With Multiple Generations

It’s hard to believe that we first met Buzz Lightyear almost 27 years ago. But the Buzz we met then was a toy. This year with the new Disney/Pixar film titled, Lightyear we are going to finally meet the man behind the toy. Today Disney/Pixar has released a brand new trailer giving us a brand new look at the new film that is slated to be released on June 17th, 2022. Check it out below!

As you can see, we are going to see Buzz Lightyear is quite an interesting situation. His job is requiring him to travel through time for specific reasons. Meaning that we will see him working with different members of families in from different generations. This is an interesting concept that I look forward to seeing develop on the big screen. Lightyear who’s toy was voiced by Tim Allen for so many years will be voiced by Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

Since we have been able to see the toy version in so many Toy Story films, this film is going to offer a lot of nostalgia. We will see the White, Green, and Purple suit that we all know and love. As well as mentions of his catchphrase, Star Command, and of course Zerg. For some of us that grew up with the Toy Story franchise, it will be exciting to see what Disney/Pixar are calling the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear. If this does well, what are the chances of maybe seeing Woody get his own series or film? Alas, I am probably getting ahead of myself.
