We all know that Logan is going to be Hugh Jackman’s last stand as Wolverine. But the writing is heavily on the wall that not only will Jackman “retire” his iteration of the iconic role, but that the character may perish in the process. In a new international TV spot, that point is hammered home once again as a villainous character warns Logan that he “will not survive.” The threat comes from Richard E. Grant’s mysterious character, Dr. Zander Rice.
You can check out the full new international spot for Logan right here:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Logan, which looks like an extremely special film, is set to tear its way into theaters on March 3.
What do you think of all of this foreshadowing going on, that implies that Wolverine is going to die in Logan? Are they just trying to throw us off? Can this character actually have a happy ending after the tragic arc of the story we’ve seen play out over the last 17 years?
