Some more The Mandalorian and Grogu casting news plus a rumor Rotta the Hutt will be ‘buff’ in the movie. First off let’s recap on the news that Jeremy Allen White has been cast as (presumably) the voice of Rotta the Hutt in the movie. That definitely raised by eyebrows, but we shall see what happens I guess. Check details in the related section below.
Now Deadline reports another piece of casting. It’s not particularly exciting news, but here it is per the trade.
‘Jonny Coyne will be reprising his role as Imperial Warlord in Jon Favreau’s feature take of The Mandalorian streaming series, The Mandalorian & Grogu.’
I doubt the guy’s parents called him Imperial Warlord, so basically this means we don’t know his actual name. The actor appeared in that shot from The Mandalorian where various Imperial head honchos got together on a Zoom call with Moff Gideon.

Now onto some Barside Buzz,
According to the folks at Bespin Bulletin, they have heard from sources that described Jabba’s son Rotta in the movie as, ‘buff’. Now I doubt any of us ever considered a buff Hutt before. Check out what they said.
‘I was told a week ago that Rotta the Hutt would feature prominently in The Mandalorian and Grogu by a single source and was asked to not share the information publicly until a later date. I did ask other sources, but got no word back. Though I did not know who would be voicing Rotta. However, I was told that he looks sort of…buff.’
If it was not for the many missteps in The Mandalorian Season 3 I’d be more confident. I do worry about this movie though. Therefore, this news overall does little to ease that. As always though I’ll judge it when I see it.
