Loki Season 2 is happening it seems. Up until now we had no idea whether Loki, set to appear on Disney+ next year, was a limited, or ongoing series. According to a new report from the ever reliable Production Weekly, Season 2 is a go. Production on Loki Season 2 is set to begin in January, 2022. That might seem like some time away, but considering the year delay of the MCU, and the need for Disney to get as much MCU content on Disney+ as possible, it makes sense.
The outlet’s record for future production schedules is almost always bang on in my experience. Now, this can change, and we have seen that in work this year alone. There is still plenty of time for Disney to change their schedules around. What this does tell us is that for now Loki Season 2 is planned to begin January of 2022. The main point to take from all this is that Loki is getting a Season 2 to begin with. This would also mean that Loki is the first MCU Disney+ show to get a confirmed second season.

So far we have a ton of MCU Disney+ shows announced, but all of them could conceivably have been limited series. I don’t necessarily believe that will be the case, however this is the first sign of a Season 2. One show I have a hard time seeing go into a Season 2 is WandaVision. Firstly WandaVision seems like a one-off type of situation plot wise, but who knows? Secondly Wanda’s next MCU appearance is going to be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. If we put both these facts together I get the feeling WandaVision is a limited series, but again, that’s no fact.
Loki should be set to hit Disney+ some time next year. First off we have WandaVision expected this December. The second show that should be coming is Falcon and The Winter Soldier, then perhaps Loki Season 1.
Are you happy that Season 2 of Loki is coming, or will you wait to see Season 1 first? Leave your thoughts below as always.
