Kate Dennings says Darcy is not in Thor: Love and Thunder, or if she is, no one has told her yet. Dennings played Darcy, friend of Jane Foster in the first two Thor movies. The character did not appear in Thor: Ragnarok, which was set in space and did not have Jane Foster either. However, with Foster coming back for Thor: Love and Thunder and becoming Lady Thor, fans wondered if Darcy could return also. It doesn’t appear so according to Dennings. However, Darcy will show up in the MCU again, very soon in fact.
Dennings is playing Darcy in WandaVision, though in what context Darcy is appearing seems less clear. There is a lot of talk that Darcy has joined the SWORD organisation in some way. However until see see the bonkers looking WandaVision for ourselves, it’s hard to speculate too much on. Dennings recently spoke with ET Online. Asked if she was appearing in the fourth Thor movie Dennings replied.
“No, still no idea! I don’t think I’m in it. I feel like I would have heard by now. So literally my answer is I have no idea, I have even less an idea than I did before.”
It seems highly unlikely that Dennings would not know by now if she was in Thor: Love and Thunder. Thor 4 is set to begin filming early next year and it seems that the scripting process is pretty far along. All the actors who are confirmed for Thor: Love and Thunder have already arrived in Australia for shooting. It’s pretty clear Darcy is not in the movie. That being said, there is potential for the Darcy character going forward, especially with her showing up in WandaVision. Of WandaVison Dennings said.
“I was thrilled and it was somewhat of a surprise what they planned for her. As far as I know, they’re gonna still try to get it out this year.”
As far as anyone can tell, WandaVision should be hitting Disney+ this December. Though, we don’t have a specific date. As Dennings said, the plan is to release it this year, but that could be December 31st for all we know? Unlikely I know, but you get the point. Are you in any way bothered that Darcy is not in Thor: Love and Thunder? Either way, share your thoughts below.
