While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to bring in actors from practically every category. From prestige to comedy, no one is safe from the all-seeing eye of Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. That being said, there are some actors that I assumed would never be lured by such a prospect and others that I kinda completely forgot about in terms of a possibility. When it comes to this next actor, I’d say it was more the latter than the former.

ComicBook.com is reporting that Owen Wilson of Shanghai Noon fame and nothing else, has hopped aboard the Loki Disney+ series in a “major” role. As far as what role he will be playing, that’s being kept under wraps, but Wilson is an interesting choice.

As I implied above, he isn’t an actor I assumed would be “unwilling” to jump into the superhero fray, but he’s just an actor I really didn’t think about. He seemed just a tad too recognizable to play someone from this world. Then again, so did Paul Rudd.

Of course, in addition to his Oscar-caliber performance in Shanghai Noon, he’s also known for such critical darlings as Shanghai Knights and Anaconda — oh, and I guess those Wes Anderson movies too.
