Loki Wednesdays Are The New Friday

Get ready for Loki Wednesdays. All previous debut shows from Marvel and Star Wars have aired on a Friday on Disney+ and that was all set to continue with Loki debuting on June 11th. Though as you will see fr0m the official promo below, that’s all about to change.

We here at LRM have been saying for some time that Disney+ needs to stop dropping every new show on a Friday. If a show is binge dropped, it doesn’t matter. However, for weekly releases, having everything drop in a Friday was never going to work long term.

The Bad Batch will be airing new episodes each Friday and that will run for another 14 weeks after this Friday. That takes us into Loki territory and as a result Disney has decided to move Loki to a Wednesday. Loki Episode 1 will now first air on June 9th, and each Wednesday following.

I am hoping by this time next year there is enough new content coming that there are drops on multiple days of the week. I’m also not gonna lie, it is far easier for an outlet like LRM to not have to deal with everything on a Friday all the time. Hopefully Loki will show Disney that it really does not mater what day they release a show, so just pick a variety of days for each show.

Clear your Wednesday schedules then for 6 Wednesdays starting on June 9th. Not long to wait now and from the little I have seen, Loki has me more hyped than any of the other Marvel shows have so far.

What do you think of Loki Wednesdays? As always, leave any thoughts below.
