Marvel is notoriously secretive with the scripts for their films. Enough that sometimes even the cast and crew become confused. Such was the case when it was time to film the death scene of a prominent character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki.
The brother of Thor met his end at the hands of the purple titan Thanos, strangled to death as Thor helplessly watched. Leading up to the shooting of the scene, many crew members were confused, as they had a read a fake script in which Loki managed to get away in an escape pod. Executive producer on the film Trinh Tran, mused about the scene in a excerpt from The Art of Avengers: Infinity War.
“We created a version of the script where Loki would get away in an escape pod at the beginning of the movie. When we started shooting that particular sequence, we had crew members who were thoroughly confused. We had to let them know that those were fake versions of the script that they read.”

While wild theories continue to make the rounds on the internet as to how Loki is still alive, it’s a safe bet the god of mischief is gone for good this time, no tricks, no deception. At the very least fans can take comfort in knowing Loki redeemed himself before he met his end.
