Lonnie Chavis stars in Shudder’s new film, The Boy Behind The Door.

The Synopsis 

A night of unimaginable terror awaits twelve-year-old Bobby (Lonnie Chavis, “This Is Us”)and his best friend, Kevin (Ezra Dewey, “The Djinn”, when they are abducted on their way home from school. Managing to escape his confines, Bobby navigates the dark halls, praying his presence goes unnoticed as he avoids his captor at every turn. Even worse is the arrival of another stranger, whose mysterious arrangement with the kidnapper spells certain doom for Kevin. With no means of calling for help and miles of dark country in every direction, Bobby embarks on a rescue mission, determined to get himself and Kevin out alive…or die trying.

The young actor Lonnie Chavis has already appeared in several films and television series. Most know him for playing Randall Pearson in ABC’s This Is Us.  As well as others like Showtimes White Famous, CW’s Supergirl,  Nickelodeon’s The Thundesmans and Disney’s Magic Camp. In 2020 he made his first feature film with The Water Man.

I was connected with Lonnie Chaviz the day of The Boy Behind The Door release. He expressed his excitement for his first horror film in the company of Shudder. In addition to friendship and the importance of addressing kidnaps in family.
