Kraven the Hunter is a character fans have been wanting to see for a bit. Sure, his leopard-print spandex isn’t something that would seem fit for the big screen, nor would his over-the-top personality, but fans love him. This is a character with the motivation to become the greatest game hunter in the world. With Spider-Man likely on the run following the identity reveal in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Kraven’s involvement seems kind of inevitable.

So, is this master hunter headed to the MCU proper? Well, that’s a solid maybe if we’re to believe what The Illuminerdi has to say about the situation. The outlet states they’ve seen a casting grid for the solo Kraven the Hunter movie. While it’s a standalone film, it has the potential to collide directly into the MCU.

The outlet states that, unlike the Venom and Morbius movie, Spider-Man will be referenced directly. In fact, Kraven is reportedly very much in the Spider-Man hunting game in the movie. Sadly, this does indicate that he won’t be a villain in the third MCU-set Spider-Man film, but there’s always potential to incorporate him down the line.

Another detail from the outlet is that Kraven the Hunter is seen as a Bourne-esque figure in his late thirties or forties. They speculate that the inclusion of the character can also continue the plotline from Far From Home. However, unless the movie hits before the third film, I’m not sure I buy it. Either way, it is interesting that they’re setting up this character, and it seems inevitable that all this will snowball into a Sinister Six film.
