As per the title, it looks like Nebula and Mantis are in Thor: Love and Thunder less than the other Guardians. Where does this suspicion come from? The fact that both Pom Klementieff and Karen Gillan have left Australia and revealed as such on their Instagram stories. Considering Thor: Love and Thunder is being filmed in Australia, and both actors were on set until very recently, it’s a good guess to make. Far as we can tell, Chris Pratt, Sean Gunn, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel are all still in Oz filming.

There are two possibilities here though. It may be that almost all of the Guardians have left and the only ones we know of are Pom and Karen? Perhaps none of the Guardians appear much in Love and Thunder? They could fly in, drop off Thor, have a few scenes and then hit the road again. However, if we find out that it is only Pom and Karen that have gone home, it’s a good bet their characters are less involved in the plot here. Let’s face it, the Guardians have split up many times before. Most recently Rocket and Nebula spent 5 years together as Avengers under Natasha’s command, the rest were all blipped.

I guess within the next few days we will know more. Either we will find out other Guardians stars have flown home, or new set photos showing them on set will appear. As said above, this should give us the detail we need to determine if my suspicion is correct. There is already a massive cast in Love and Thunder.  Director Taika Waititi already has to juggle giving these character the time they deserve. Perhaps having only certain Guardians remain with Thor is a good way to give himself less of a headache?

Are Nebula and Mantis in Thor: Love and Thunder less than the other Guardians? That remains to be seen, but right now I would not bet against it.
