UPDATE: Yahoo! has just reported the The Orchard (the film’s distributor) has scrapped any plans to release the film.

As more people come forward with their stories of sexual assault by some prominent stars and executives in Hollywood, comedian Louis C.K. is the latest to be accused. Louis C.K., whose real name is Louis Székely, has a new film coming out soon called I Love You, Daddy, but the film’s release has been put on hold for the time being due to the allegations against the comedian. A representative from the The Orchard, the company that plans to distribute the film, gave a statement to TheWrap:

“We are giving careful consideration to the timing and release of the film and continuing to review the situation.”

The cancellation of the premiere and the company debating whether or not they will release the film at all certainly aren’t good signs. The studio must feel there is enough truth in the allegations to at least take a step back and weigh their options (or they can just be playing it are). I have enjoyed Louie’s comedy for years, but these allegations are pretty disturbing. So far, five women have came forward to accuse Székely.

First it was Harvey Weinstein, and then Kevin Spacey. Others who have been accused are Dustin Hoffman, and Jeremy Piven, the latter who outright denied the allegations.
