Disney and Lucasfilm may have hit a bit of a speed bump with the Obi-Wan series’ production getting delayed, but it’s not the only big Star Wars series underway. Of course, we already know that The Mandalorian Season 2 is going to hit Disney+ this coming October, but it’s not the only one. There’s also a certain other Cassian Andor-centric show that’s been in the works. Recently, there’s been word on a 2021 release date, though with no production start date.

From what I’m hearing, that show seems to be coming along quite smoothly, and even has the production title Pilgrim at the moment. Ironically enough, it sounds like a title better suited for Obi-Wan, but that’s neither here nor there. I’m also hearing a rough production start of around June in London.

With this in mind, a 2021 release date certainly seems to be in the cards. I’d go so far as to say that a release in the first half of the year is even possible — though I guess it would be a bit of a stretch.

We already know that Diego Luna is returning to take on the role of Cassian Andor himself, and even Alan Tudyk is returning to voice the dry and sarcastic K-2SO. Of course, both of these characters don’t make it out of Rogue One alive, so this will be a prequel of sorts, with there even being reports of a younger Cassian Andor being cast for flashbacks.

So, while Lucasfilm may be having some issues with Obi-Wan, it does sound like everything else is moving along pretty smoothly.
